Historic Oak View County Park

This is a typical Southern farm featuring an 1855 style house with a cotton gin and carriage house. It also has a barn and a herb garden, not to mention a grove of pecans. You can enjoy a leisurely picnic here. Admission to this park is free of charge. The park remains open from Monday to Saturday, 8:30 in the morning to 5 in the evening and from 1 to 5 pm on Sundays. This is a massive forest spanning 245 acres across western Wake County located within 10 minutes distance of the state university campus.
