Raleigh, the North Carolina state capital as well as seat of Wake County, it is the second most densely populated city in the state, apart from also being known as the City of Oaks for its shady trees, and the city is named after Sir Walter Raleigh, besides being a booming modern and urban center where more than 1,214,316 persons resided according to the 2013 estimate and part of the Research Triangle with Chapel Hill and Durham.
